Fall Fest Fun!

I have officially decided that Fall is my favorite season.

I love the smells of Fall best-apples, pumpkin, and spices!

I also love the cooler weather, especially after our hot 90-100+ degree days of summer.

I love the few trees with leaves that change color around here too! Kenneth recently planted a tree in the front yard that he transplanted from a job he was working on. One morning as we were leaving the house I actually drove through leaves on our driveway. For those of you who know me well, know how much I have longed for trees on our property. I was so excited to see those leaves! No matter that they were probably just falling off the tree from the shock of transplanting, I had a Fall moment in my driveway! I am so thankful to have a handy hubbie who can do things like moving 20 foot trees!

I also love how motivated we get to make things during the Fall, like breads, cookies, art projects, and yummy smelling soups. We also get motivated to have a Fall Festival at our house.

Today was our 2nd Annual Davis Fall Festival and what fun it was! We had around 90 Moms, Dads and children outside at our house-whew! We had bobbing for apples and caramel to dip them in, a calk walk, a leaf pool to frolic in, crafts, and pin the hat on the turkey. After all of the booth games, we did relay races. We did sack races, 3-legged races, and pumpkin rolling races. It was a treat to watch some of the moms join in the fun! After the races everyone enjoyed a healthy and nutritious lunch of hotdogs and chips and desserts. Hopefully everyone left with a belly full of lots of yummy treats and was so tired they slept well for their mothers??

For those who couldn't make it, we missed you, and hope to do it again next year!
